Lindsay’s New Movie looks a little…bloody

Can’t wait for July 27th…that’s when one of my favorite people, Lindsay Lohan, and one of my favorite things, a horror film, will be combined. In the upcoming movie I Know Who Killed Me, Linds plays a girl named Aubrey who seems to have dual personalities after experiencing a horrific kidnapping. In one scene, her leg is cut off and she sews it back on herself. As Summer from The O.C. would say: “Ohmigod, EWWWWW!!!!”

The gore starts July 27th!!! Just 18 more days

Christian Bale and Rescue Dawn

So I went to see Rescue Dawn at the Arclight last night, and I have to say, Christian Bale has once again proved himself to be an extraordinary actor. The word ‘actor’ doesn’t even justify what Bale does. As former Navy fighter pilot Dieter Dengler, his portrayal of a man intent on staying alive no matter what the circumstances–and on rising above his present circumstances–is nothing short of extraordinary. Bale has always impressed me as an actor because I never feel like he’s acting and for me it’s impossible to separate him from the characters he portrays. He has wisely chosen to stay out of the public spotlight and in doing so has made his characters more believable and engrossing. He immediately draws me in, no matter who he’s playing…from egomaniac, material-possessions-obsessed Patrick Bateman in American Psycho to that brooding dude who likes to wear black capes and a ‘B’ on his clothes. Bale is wise enough to know that nobody cares about actors…but everybody cares about the characters they portray.

For those of you who don’t know, this is Benjamin (Ben) McKenzie, who played Ryan Atwood, the rebellious protagonist on “The O.C.” I picked him because he’s young, talented, and incredibly handsome. Plus he’s apparently a loner. Hrmm…a guy after my own heart.

There’s no denying it, A Nightmare on Elm Street still scares the bejeezus out of me. And apparently, the Elm Street house is a real place, 1428 Genesee Avenue in Hollywood, which happens to be only about five minutes from my apartment. The House was used for all of the exterior shots in the original Nightmare…

As a Freddy fan, you can bet I’ll be visiting this house. I wonder if it still looks the same, and if the green door is still there…
